Meet the Artist

Rosie Brandenburg

Gesture, color, and the want to capture fleeting emotion drives my work at it's core. These distinct characteristics created imagery and at times characters that reflect and depict the push and pull of my ongoing narrative. My artwork has always been inseparable from the moments that have shaped my life;  from a chaotic childhood in a mixed race family to candid snapshots at the collapse of society. What starts internal I face towards the viewer at it's most visceral and intimate point in hopes of a shared experience and an open conversation of what was once felt too private to explore.
