I dressed as the final incarnation, the blue faced demon named jolia and read the connected poetry zine during gallery night. The paintings of each self stand on beds of broken glass as reference to the shattering I felt during moments of trauma and their eventual reforming. I related to these shards as validation of my vulnerability while recognizing the change that is healing. Needing to leave myself in order to eventually come back to myself without the grief of returning to a lost past.
